Ryan is a 27 year-old who grew up in Torbay. After a brief foray to Toronto to study how to improve education systems, he is now happily settled on Old Topsail Rd. with his fiancée, Alison.
He brings a decade of provincial and national experience in education and governance to the Board of Trustees. His experience includes:
- Directorship at Radhoc Youth Leadership, where he organized provincial leadership conferences for high school students from St. John's to Makkovic.
- Multiple roles on the Board of Directors of the MUN Students' Union, serving 14,000 students on MUN's St. John's campus and overseeing programs, services, and campaigns.
- Representing graduate students on the Board of Governors of OCAD University in Toronto.
- Leading a national movement encouraging innovation in higher education at hackED.
He is just finishing his Master of Design in Strategic Foresight & Innovation, where he focused on education systems reform, and holds a B. Sc. (Hons.) in Psychology & Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Memorial University.
